Last updated: 17 June 2026

Who we are

Cape Town Bach (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a celebration-planning studio based in Cape Town, South Africa. If you have any questions about your information or this policy, email us at events@capetownbach.co.za.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you choose to give us, including your name, email address, WhatsApp or phone number, and information about your celebration such as the date, group size, budget range and any notes you add.

When you browse the site, our hosting provider and any embedded content may also receive standard technical information such as your IP address and device or browser type.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, plan and coordinate your celebration, and stay in touch with you about it. We rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We use a small number of trusted service providers that process data on our behalf, including our website host and form provider (Netlify), and the email and WhatsApp services we use to reply to you.

Pages that include embedded Instagram content load that content from Instagram (Meta), which may set cookies and collect usage data under its own privacy policy. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used; it sets cookies and collects usage data under Google’s privacy policy.

Cookies and analytics

Our site uses cookies for analytics (Google Analytics) and through embedded Instagram content. Cookies are small files stored on your device. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well if you do.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to your enquiry and deliver your celebration, plus a reasonable period for our own records, after which we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under South Africa’s POPIA and, where it applies, the EU/UK GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email events@capetownbach.co.za. South African residents may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
